Sarah Mclachlan ( Touch ) I was hired by Mark Jowett and Terry McBride to play drums for a young woman Mark discovered while in Halifax. Sarah was delightful and although the process was not without its challenges, I am grateful for the experience. I left Sarah’s orbit to go to theatre school.
Animal Slaves ( EP, Dog Eat Dog, Secret Sharer ) A cult favorite, I spent five years playing in the Animal Slaves - what a way to spend one’s youth. Elizabeth Fischer, Rachel Melas and I remain friends to this day. A reunion can be arranged for $1 million.
Rhythm Mission Post Animal Slaves I needed a gig. I used to love Rhythm Mission as an audience member, however, when I joined, the best was behind them. We did a couple of tours including a cross Canada trip.

Jazzmanian Devils My first gig with the JD’s was New Years Eve 1986 into 1987. I have been fired from the JD’s more than any other member, however, for the last decade, my position as the first call drummer is not in question – or is it?
Frank Paradise An organ-based, jazz-groove blacksploitation combo with a nod to great porn music, Frank Paradise is the slowest moving band of my life. By that I mean that we haven’t done a gig in almost two years and, despite the fact we have more than enough material to release an album-length CD, we can’t seem to put it together. I don’t play hockey with my “buddies,” instead, I play music with my brothers.
I have also played with a host of meaningless and insignificant bar-bands, on studio gigs and in pick-up jobs. |
